Praised for the intensity of his conducting, French conductor Simon Clausse stands out for his powerful and dynamic interpretations, shaped by a distinctive personal sensitivity and an exceptional technique — precise, commanding, and elegant.

Awarded the 2025 Neeme Järvi Prize at the Gstaad Conducting Academy, Simon Clausse has conducted leading ensembles such as the Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre National de Bretagne, Orchestre National de Lyon, Orchestre National de Cannes, Orchestre Victor‑Hugo, Gstaad Festival Orchestra, Orquestra do Algarve, Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre des Lauréats du Conservatoire de Paris, Orchestre de Picardie, Orchestre de Normandie, and the Ensemble Intercontemporain.
He trained alongside renowned conductors including Mikko Franck, Jaap van Zweden, Mirga Gražinytė‑Tyla, Johannes Schlaefli, David Reiland, Domingo Hindoyan, Benjamin Levy, Jacques Mercier, Jean Deroyer, and Julien Leroy.
He is currently pursuing his orchestral conducting studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in Alain Altinoglu’s class.
The current season marks a new milestone in his career, with his upcoming debut conducting the Orchestre National de Metz this December.
